Pocket Atlas of Cardiac and Thoracic MRI

Incorporating recent advances in MR technology, this handy pocket atlas is a rapid guide to the use of magnetic resonance imaging in the evaluation of cardiac and thoracic disease. Included are more than 60 high quality images of normal anatomy and pathologic conditions taken at a variety of different magnetic field strengths to obtain the most clinically useful scans. In addition to the standard orthogonal views (i.e., transaxial, coronal, and sagittal planes), the anatomy is displayed in long and short axis views of the heart. This global depiction of anatomy in different planes facilitates the interpretation of MR images and provides a practical and manageable guide to the anatomy of this region. The atlas also contains an important section of high-resolution MR images depicting a variety of cardiac and thoracic abnormalities, and illustrates the capability of MR imaging to clearly delineate pathologic conditions in the thorax.
