Picasso's lifelong dealer and one of the major gallery owners of the twentieth century, Daniel-Henry Kahnweiler is a key figure in the development of modern art. He opened his first Paris gallery in 1907, then set about with shrewdness and perseverance to establish some of the finest collections of cubist paintings in the world.
