Master Drawings from the Hermitage and Pushkin Museums

From the Foreword of the 292 page book: "The State Hermitage Museum, St. Petersburg, and the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts, Moscow, preserve two of the world's greatest collections of drawings by Western European artists of the fifteenth to the twentieth century. The present selection includes 120 works of outstanding quality by artists of all the principal schools of European draughtsmanship, beginning with two remarkable miniatures on vellum by the fifteenth-century Florentine painter Pesellino and ending with sheets by such twentieth-century masters as Picasso and Matisse. Many have never before been shown in this country." The artwork is divided into the following categories: Italian Drawings; Dutch Drawings; Flemish Drawings; German and Swiss Drawings; and French Drawings.
