Functional design of metal stampings (Manufacturing data series)

Metal stampings have slowly become indispensable to our high standard of living. An examination of almost any machine or gadget will reveal some metal stamping in the assembly. Today, they are used in machines, tools, all kinds of vehicles, household appliances, hardware, buildings, office equipment, retail equipment, electrical equipment, containers, clothing, and, in fact, almost every manufactured product. During my many years of experience as an engineer in the metal stamping field and as a lecturer at various seminars, clinics, and courses conducted for the Society of Manufacturing Engineers and for the American Metal Stamping Association, I have found few single sources of information on the design of metal stampings. The present book reflects the latest thinking in the metal stamping field and tries to fill the void in this area.
