Uncle Phil's Diner: Interactive Dinner Theatre for Outreach

For permission to perform Uncle Phil’s Diner you are required to purchase the Production Pack. In addition to including 15 scripts at a reduced rate for the director and major characters, you receive permission to make photocopies of the script for minor characters and your technical crew. This Pack also includes templates and samples for creating promotional posters, flyers, audience response cards, and sheet music for the ’Nerd Love Song.’ The included Performance Licensing Agreement is used to pay the Royalty fee(s) and is due two weeks prior to performance(s). The Production Pack price does not include the Royalty payment. A search for a theatrical outreach event that is fun,fast-paced, and not preachy should end with the selection of UNCLE PHIL’S DINER. Set in a 1950’s diner, the plot centers around Uncle Phil and his wait staff as they eagerly anticipate the arrival of the evening’s entertainment--a band called The Desotos. As it becomes increasingly apparent that the Desotos may never show up, the waiters & D.J. attempt to keep the audience entertained.
