The fourth edition of this popular text covers an even greater number of contemporary social problems including welfare and health care reform, types of sexual harassment, immigration problems, and physician-assisted suicide. Unlike other social problems texts, a major focus of this book is to present proposals and programs that have been advanced to attempt to alleviate each of the social problems reviewed.
