Old Yeller

Between chasing raccoons and skunks out of the corn field and his younger brother Arliss out of the drinking hole, Travis had little time left over to be just an ordinary boy. To make bad matters worse, into the thick of things loped Old Yeller, a crazy, one-eared dog, whose hair under all the fleas and layers of grime was a dingy, matted yellow. To top it all off, he howled like a banshee and stole food from the neighbors. The last thing Travis needed was an ugly renegade dog ... or so he thought.
