It Never Snows in September: The German View of Market-Garden and the Battle of Arnhem, September 1944

On 17 September 1944 the historic Battle of Arnhem began with the massed parachute drop of thousands of Allied troops. Their mission was to create a bridgehead from which operations could be conducted against German forces in the Ruhr. Ten days later, the British were forced to withdraw. It has taken over 45 years for a comprehensive account to emerge.
