Squadron leader Jack Currie tells the story of his entry into the Royal Air Force, his early training in the UK and his initial flying training with the US Army Air Corps under the Arnold Scheme. This lead to his first solo flight and he was rewarded with that coveted pair of silver wings. Thence back to England and Bomber Command to meet the men who were to be his Lancaster crew.
