Understanding Neuropsychology (Basic Psychology Series)

This volume is an elementary introduction to neuropsychology for beginning students. It assumes no previous knowledge of the subject. The book begins with a description of the structure and functioning of the nervous system, and goes on to outline the mechanisms of sensation and perception, particularly vision and hearing. Further chapters give a concise account of the structure and functions of cortical and subcortical areas of the brain.
