Albion's People: English Society, 1714-1815 (Social and Economic History of England)

As part of the "Social and Economic History of England" series, this text examines England's social and economic history between 1714 and 1815. It considers the social order, changes in the standards of living, patterns of crime and punishment and social and industrial protest. It examines the impact of education, religion and culture on the lives of people and assesses the changes in their standard of living. It is aimed at the serious student and also aims to introduce the interested general reader to the key issues of debate in the 18th century. It covers all examination courses at A level in economic and social history and all examinations at undergraduate level.
