Austin Farrer: The Major Works

Farrer is widely recognized - in Britain and America and, increasingly, in the continent of Europe and in Australia - to have been the most significant figure in the field of philosophical theology to have appeared in England in the course of the twentieth century. His combination of philosophical acumen, theological sensitivity, spiritual depth, and awareness of the challenges posed by modern science was without parallel. At the same time he showed, throughout his work, a marvelous literary and imaginative flair.
