Mind Skills for Managers

This work aims to help in harnessing your mind's unused capacity in order to develop your ability to learn, generate creative ideas, handle information more effectively and tackle many of the key skills of management. It argues that in the 1990s, managers are measured up against a tough criteria and that the the route to success lies in the 90% of unused capacity in the brain, in areas such as problem solving, creativity, picking up new skills and managing multiple tasks. This mixes down-to-earth ideas with techniques such as mind maps, checklists, step-by-step rules, acronyms and mnemonics to provide an easy-to-use guide to management techniques and unleashing the full power of your mind. The skills in this study need to be practised and the best approach is to take one idea at a time and apply it. It aims to make you think better, think faster and work smarter.
