Celebrating the 20th year of publication of The New International Atlas , the standard in world atlases, the Anniversary Edition features completely updated maps, tables, and index. It retains the internationality of its approach with a multilingual format that includes English, French, German, Portuguese, and Spanish; this approach is carried over into the maps through the utilization of the metric system of measurement, and particularly by a strong emphasis on the use of local forms for geographic names.
