Marines Don't Hold Their Horses

WW II produced many heroes whose exploits were not known to the public. One of these was Alan Warren, a colonel of British marines. He took the war behind enemy lines and, when captured, was a thorn in the flesh of his Japanese guards. Colonel Warren spent three years in prison camps along the River Kwai. Though prisoners died every day, "Cocky" Warren stood his ground and raised morale to the highest possible level.
