Worm is making good on his threat to destroy the Cosmos by poisoning the River of Light, resulting in mayhem as altered light particles spread throughout the Cosmos. During the initial phase of the attack, scientists on earth were mystified. Why was everything changing? Cold places were sweltering and tropical areas were freezing; There had to be a scientific reason, thought the great minds. But it was not only the weather and landforms that were in revolution; people too were in chaos, impatient, intolerant and unwilling to go without, which created hellish aggression. Huge resources were put into discovering an answer, but the causes remained a mystery. A spiritual aetiology was not even considered. It became obvious that the wisdom of man was exhausted and, without intervention, the world was doomed. Sadly, Planet Earth was only a tiny speck amongst the destruction of the whole Splendorian realm. The success of the Vildorian surprise attack seemed impossible to overcome, but a tiny invasion force of only twelve is formed to do the impossible - deliver the waters of goodness, the Gem of the First Water, onto the Fires of Vildora, quenching those fires, and causing new attitudes to blossom, creating simply a better way to be.
