Thermofluids: An Integrated Approach to Thermodynamics and Fluid Mechanics Principles

This text is concerned with the methods in which different types of energy are converted from one form to another. In particular, the book examines why so many of the energy conversion processes which involve heat have a low efficiency rating. Traditionally, methods for analyzing energy conversion processes are covered in texts about thermodynamics or fluid mechanics. Here, however, the two subjects are combined to form a continuous study under the name "thermofluids". The advantage of doing this is that the reader can understand the wider field of energy conversion for thermal and fluid flow systems. Many worked examples are included to illustrate the text.
