Hardbound. Natural products chemistry has evolved with growing emphasis on isolating bioactive natural compounds. The synthetic programs are also directed towards bioactive natural products, many of which could hitherto only be obtained in small quantities from natural resources. However, they can be synthesised in much larger quantities. Moreover, new analogues may be prepared which will have a higher activity and lower toxicity than the parent compounds. The current volume specifically covers the field of such bioactive natural products.
