Researching Literate Lives (World Library of Educationalists)

In the World Library of Educationalists series, international scholars themselves compile career-long collections of what they judge to be their finest pieces - extracts from books, key articles, salient research findings, major theoretical and/or practical contributions - so the world can read them in a single manageable volume. This volume brings together articles, essays, poetry, and artwork of Jerome C. Harste across the field of literacy studies, and addresses his contributions to early literacy, reading comprehension, ways of knowing, among other topics. Each major section of the book chronologically follows the course of Harste's career and documents the impact of his contributions on the field.
