Huston being a country boy, received his elementary educa tion in the country schools, but he later had the advantage of study in the Kirksville Normal College. After leaving college he became a teacher and followed this profession in the counties of Knox and Scotland. While following this profession he made many warm friends who were later invaluable to him when he launched forth on a business career.
