Carl Larsson's Home

With nearly 100 full-color photographs, this delightful book captures the friendly and generous spirit of Swedish artist and illustrator Carl Larsson's home, Lilla Hyttnäs. A gift from his father-in-law in the late 1800's, the two-room log house was transformed by Larsson and his wife Karin, into a homestead of bright and intimate rooms. At a time when the industrial revolution was already having its effect on the style of life, the Larssons' careful artistry and the genuine handicraft trades of the local craftsmen produced a much admired and respected dwelling.
