Translated from Russian by Constance Garnett, Introductory Essay by Thomas Mann. Condition: Books; Good Reading Copy. Both volumes are tight and appear to be unread with minimal wear to edges or points. However, vol. II has water damage to cover and spine and to a lesser degree to all interior pages on the very bottom edges, including the seven color illustrated pages although the water stain on these pages does not seep into the illustrations themselves. Spine lettering is dull, red block is dull but not faded.
