Description:

Escrito en 1607 con modificaciones en 1609 y 1613, este Auto sacramental utiliza un argumento de Lope de Vega en El pastor lobo, y una canción tradicional: Pastorcillo nuevo. El colmenero divino es una alegoría del Buen Pastor, de los evangelios: El Buen Pastor (Jesucristo) que apacienta el rebaño (Pueblo de Dios) y que busca a la oveja descarriada (pecador), y celebra su vuelta al redil (Celebración de la Eucaristía). En la obra la figura del Buen Pastor ha sido cambiada por la del Buen Colmenero, la oveja por la abeja y el lobo, la tentación del mundo, por el Oso. La abeja es tentada por el mal colmenero y por el oso, y al final vence las tentaciones, vuelve a la colmena, y obtiene el perdón.
