Every Student's Guide to the Internet: Windows Version

This text supplements the main text in the introduction to computers course or can be used as the main text in an Internet course in any discipline, a training workshop, or the freshman orientation course. This very basic guide gets students started on the Internet: no previous experience is assumed. The text takes advantage of the Windows graphical user interface. Online resources created specifically for use with this book include e-mail addresses and listserv discussion groups. The authors also offer online support: their e-mail addresses are printed in the preface. Step-by-step instructions include realistic on-line exercises and demonstrations written expressly for college students (including research for English, History, Maths etc). The basic concepts behind each concept are covered: students will be able to adapt to new platforms and tools of the future.
