Applied Statics and Strength of Materials (Merrill's International Series in Engineering Technology)

For one/two-semester, undergraduate-level courses in Statics and Strengths of Materials, Strength of Materials, and Engineering Mechanics in the disciplines of Engineering Technology. Focusing on the fundamentals of material statics and strength, this text presents a non-Calculus-based, elementary, analytical, and practical approach, with rigorous, comprehensive example problems that follow the explanation of theory and very complete homework problems that allow students to practice the material. The goal of the text is to provide students with the necessary mechanics background for more advanced and specialized areas of study in the many fields of engineering technology--e.g., civil, mechanical, construction, architectural, industrial, and manufacturing.
