Mathematics: Transition Handbooks. Bridge the Gaps! (Grade 3)

"Your teacher will assign Skill Builder lessons from the handbook based on the work you do on pages given to you called What Do I Need to Know? "Each Skill Builder begins with a section called Learn, in which a student asks What Can I Do? to learn a specific math skill. Stepped-out models and one or more strategies are presented that will help you strengthen that skill. "The Try It section gives you a chance to try the strategy or strategies. Often the Try It exercises will give some hints to help you get started. "The Power Practice section gives you lots of opportunities to practice the lesson skill. This will help you succeed in solving the problems that come up within the corresponding chapter of your textbook. "At least once per chapter, you will see Learn with Partners & Parents, an activity that you can use at home with your parents, other family members, and friends, or at school with a partner. "Your teacher may assign a Challenge activity. Each Challenge provides a special experience, such as a puzzle, code, or riddle." 197 pages.
