Lawyers' Law Books: A Practical Index to Legal Literature

A bibliography of UK legal literature, encompassing references to allied subjects and to related legal systems. Very brief entries, offering one-sentence descriptions, publisher, and year of publication for encyclopedias and texts, are arranged alphabetically by subject, with cross references. No reference is made to the Law Reports , Weekly Law Reports , or All England Law Reports , or to the five main general law periodicals in the UK. Also includes a table of regal years of the English monarchs and an alphabetical guide to the Law Reports of England and Ireland. This year's edition contains some 13,000 entries, 25% larger than the second edition, with no title published before 1980 retained unless it is still useful. New headings for this edition include community care, DNA, data protection, freedom of information, homeless persons, legal research, and victim support.
