Afghan Romance

Dear Friends, Romance is as much a part of our day-to-day lives as the rising and setting sun. All around us, people search for and participate in romance of all sorts. What does romance have to do with afghans? As you read this letter, you are holding in your hands a unique new addition to the craft industry. A unique new twist on an ages-old craft, this book is the first of its kind. Never before has anyone presented crochet patterns in this way--intertwined with a chaming love story. When Fran Rohus and Donna Robertson first approached me about doing a book such as this, we were both a little apprehensive. We had never attempted a creation such as this, and even though the idea seemed feasible, we knew we were breaking new ground. As I began working on the story, the book began to take shape and soon, we were on a roll. It turned out to truly be an adventure in creativity and teamwork. I hope you enjoy the short story we have wound around this gorgeous selection of afghans. As always, these are never-before-published designs from extremely talented people who are also in love with crochet.
